Autobahn is a mobile automotive specialist covering Manchester and Greater Manchester, available 24 hours a day. The business combines two skill sets that are usually sold separately: auto locksmith and key programming work, and vehicle electronics — diagnostics, ECU remapping and DPF. Everything is done at the vehicle, the price is confirmed before we attend, and there is no call-out charge.
Why one business does keys and engine electronics
A modern car key is an electronic component. Making one work means communicating with the vehicle’s immobiliser, body control modules and sometimes the engine ECU itself — the same modules a diagnostic technician or remapper works with.
That overlap is the reason Autobahn covers both. A key that will not program can turn out to be a module fault; a no-start that looks like an engine problem can be an immobiliser problem. Being equipped for both sides means the fault gets found, rather than passed between two different specialists.

DPF, AdBlue & EGR diagnostics and solutions
The same vehicle-electronics knowledge behind key programming is what makes diesel emissions faults solvable. Autobahn investigates DPF warning lights and failed regenerations, AdBlue countdowns and SCR faults, EGR problems and the fault codes behind them — then explains what was found and discusses the options for the vehicle, from DPF cleaning and regeneration to repairing the fault that caused the warning.
Checks that protect you
For key work we check the vehicle belongs to the person asking. It protects you as much as it protects us. For remapping, performance gains are measured on the vehicle rather than quoted from a table.
