Mobile Auto Locksmith Manchester
Autobahn is a mobile auto locksmith covering Manchester and Greater Manchester. We cut and programme keys for cars and vans at the vehicle — home, workplace or roadside — including vehicles where every key has been lost. There is no need to recover the car to a dealer.

What we do
Almost every job starts with a key that is lost, broken, worn out, or was never there in the first place. Which of those it is decides the size of the job, so it is worth knowing where yours sits.
Spare car keys
A second key while you still have a working one. Much the cheapest version of this work.
Why mobile matters for key work
A vehicle with no working key cannot be driven anywhere. That single fact shapes the economics: taking the car to someone means recovery, and recovery frequently costs more than the key job itself.
Coming to the vehicle removes that cost entirely. It also means the car stays where it is safe rather than being moved while unsecured.
How a job runs
Send the registration
It identifies the key type and immobiliser system before anyone travels, which is what makes a single-visit fix realistic.
We confirm the job
Whether the vehicle is supported, what is involved and what it costs — before anyone is committed.
We attend
Home, workplace, car park or roadside, across Greater Manchester.
Entitlement check
V5C and photo ID. It protects you as much as us.
Cut, code and test
Start, stop, lock, unlock, boot, and your existing keys checked to confirm they still work.
By vehicle make
Key systems differ considerably between manufacturers, and often between generations of the same model. The pages below cover what is specific to each.
Common questions
What is the difference between an auto locksmith and a dealer?
A franchised dealer works on its own marque and normally needs the vehicle brought to it, which means recovery if the car cannot be driven.
An auto locksmith works across makes and comes to the vehicle. For a key problem — where the car is immobile almost by definition — that difference usually decides the total cost.
Do you work on all makes?
We work across a wide range of cars and vans, but coverage is genuinely vehicle-specific. It depends on make, model, year and the system fitted rather than the badge.
Send the registration and you will get a straight answer, including an honest no where that is the case.
What will you need from me?
The registration, the vehicle’s location, and proof it is yours — normally the V5C logbook and photo ID in the same name.
Bring every key you own, including ones you believe are dead. They are occasionally still useful.
Availability, call-out and price
Autobahn answers 24 hours a day, seven days a week, because key problems rarely arrive at a convenient time. Whatever the job, the registration gives us the key type and immobiliser system, so the price is agreed before we set off — and there is no call-out charge for coming to the vehicle.
24/7 availability
Call or WhatsApp at any hour, any day of the week.
Fully qualified
Key programming, diagnostics and ECU work carried out by a qualified technician.
No call-out charge
You are not charged simply for us travelling to the vehicle.
Price confirmed first
The price is agreed before anyone attends, so there are no surprises on arrival.
